In essence: juries are important for what decisions they prevent others from making.

Many of the worst miscarriages of justice have followed jury trials.
But the merit of juries is not so much the power they have, but the power they prevent others from having.
They mean a judge cannot just nod-along with prosecution evidence and give a guilty verdict.

Fixed up the cuff of a beloved hoodie using a knockoff speed darner from AliExpress. Very much would like a speeddarner from Ministry of Mending now!
Unpicked the seam to repair hole with a patch, and then used blanket stitch around the cuff to reinforce some ropey bits then resewed the hem.

I’m seeing a lot of Labour supporters on here badgering trans folk to vote for their party again because Reform might be even worse than they are. Give it a rest - Labour represent nothing but cruelty, segregation and oppression to me. I will never vote for a party that means me harm.
