This is an important issue for military families stationed overseas or out of their home state of residence.
The Supreme Court did grant review of one case today, Watson v. Republican National Committee, and it's a big one over state laws allowing the counting of ballots cast by Election Day but received after Election Day.

Blame them in your newspapers, write to everyone you can think of with social or political standing. Scandalise and slander them. They don’t care about us over here, but they do care about the optics over there.

The memorial would be placed outside of the cemetery, since only the American Battle Monuments Commission can take decisions about the cemetery itself. The members of parliament also want to know if the government can help bring the panels back, calling their removal “indecent” and “unacceptable”.

Contact the local foundation for the adoption of American soldier graves. Locals adopt these graves and regularly put flowers on them and visit to commemorate the soldier‘s sacrifice. They surely are informed about all this and already contemplating what to do too.
