Kind of wild there has been almost no coverage of the fact that the federal government unleashed chemical weapons against literal kids *at school*.

You must understand this if you want to understand what we're up against: they leaked the video for *recruitment purposes*
the ICE employee pretty blantantly murdered Good to "get back" at Good's wife for being snippy. Homophobia, lesbophobia, queermisia, whatever you want to call it. That was an impassioned, pyschosexually bigoted murder that the state leaked video of for further libidinal reasons

I’m old enough to remember the late 2000s, when redpill dudes were starting to mobilize online

various feminists and queer activists and historians wrote fairly regularly about misogyny as the canary in the coal mine of fascism

I can still hear the crickets
He shot her in the head, then called her a “fucking bitch.”

That isn’t self defense, it’s an angry execution.

Hey #MeetTheWebcomic! I make Keeping Time, a longform drama that's ostensibly a band romance between former friends, but might be better categorized as an adult coming-of-age story where that self discovery is painful and hard-fought.

Literally the first news outlet I've seen directly quoting her wife. Even the NPR piece on Renee Good that aired this morning made no mention of Becca Good whatsoever.

There are no rules, they don’t actually care about respect, decorum, bipartisanship or debate, and only pretend to do so to browbeat you into submission. Nothing is going to change until more people realise that and respond accordingly; including to the media and politicians who have failed them.

This is not a new tack. Greenpeace and other organisations have been hounded out or shut down for the same reason.

In 2014, as Modi became prime minister, the (eminently misnamed) Intelligence Bureau came out with a report on this "global conspiracy": indianexpress.com/article/indi...
IB report to PMO: Greenpeace is a threat to national economic security
The IB report claims Greenpeace’s “funding of research bodies” is a “massive effort” that has not attained high visibility so far.

I feel like this is extremely relevant again

Not “this was not self-defense” but “this was murder”

Not “she didn’t run the ICE agent over” but “she was murdered while trying to drive away”

Since the infighting and one-upsmanship has started--people who feel helpless + frustrated turn on each other, it's just a sad fact--remember: you don't have to like the people you fight alongside. Your comrades will say profoundly stupid bullshit to you, about you, etc. Let it roll off, keep going

Stephen Miller has openly labeled anyone who resists ICE or the will of Trump as a domestic terrorist. And if that’s the case, then the government and its agents can kill or abuse you as they see fit. The right isn’t treating the killing like a tragedy. They’re celebrating it like a victory.

This is literally what they do whenever a Black person is killed by police. No matter how solid the evidence is, they will keep pushing that lie, not just to poison the conversation and make sure the killer walks free, but to reassert the political idea that these people deserve to be killed.
The shooting is shocking enough but the government's response is off the charts when you consider that this incident is forensically documented on video.
