One reason the NYT has burned its credibility with trans people is that they still cite the discredited Cass report in reporting on trans healthcare. Never the German, Utah, or other systematic reviews supporting care. They also never provide the political context behind restrictions in care.

vouch. the only reason i'm not doing DIY HRT myself is because i'm fortunate enough to be able to go to an informed consent clinic. i had a wait time of about a week before my first appointment where they give me all the info, then i got prescribed hrt a week later on my second appointment. ezpz

For a time, windows defender kept nagging me because I had netcat installed. You know, the (very useful) command-line tool that does nothing but transmit and receive given data over the network. Completely benign.

There's a couple reasons so many IWW songs are set to the tunes of hymns and one is that the Salvation Army Band would show up and try to stop workers organizing by playing hymns to drown out speeches, so the Wobblies came up with words so they could sing along. SA has been trash all along.

This is basically making it so trans people who were adopted and had their birth records sealed cannot obtain a passport at all. This will also ensnare cis people who were adopted and have clerical errors on their records or are suspected of being trans.
