A nice thread in which an actual expert patiently explains why the Secretary of Health and Human Service is not simply a liar, but an especially stupid one.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has stated that the 1918 flu pandemic was caused by a lab virus from vaccine research, a defective influenza vaccine. Let’s analyze what a lie this is. First, in 1918, 107 years ago, virology was in its infancy

But he’s about to kick 2 million Texans off their healthcare right before Christmas.

lol so evidence dating back to the 1970s has made one consistent conclusion over and over and over again:

Employers definitely hire white people because they're white.
You’ll never guess who else experienced ‘racism’ on the job market despite their unimpeachable academic credentials.

For the record, he is a traitor, thus ineligible for the presidency, and his entire reign is illegitimate on a legal level. This seems worth stating from time to time.
NYT: “In a newly obtained recording of a phone call from late 2020, President Trump can be heard pressing the speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives to hold a special legislative session to overturn Mr. Trump’s election loss.”

Think hard.

Every fact & metric bears it out. Decade after decade.

So WHY does “media” buy the lies of generations of, (yes, White men) born into money, proclaiming “Republicans are better for the economy.”

Did y’all ever bother to ask, “Better for whom?”

Not for YOU, my friend. Nor for me.
Since the end of the Cold War, democrats have created 50M jobs and republicans have created 1M.
The Republican propaganda that Trump “inherited” a bad economy from Biden and is making it better is the exact opposite of true. The numbers don’t lie and people know what they are experiencing.

Apart from the fact the leader of the right mocked Reiner, one small difference is that Reiner's day job was making movies that people loved, while Kirk's starting point was creating enemies list of professors to be fired or harassed. These are not the same things.

One way that the reaction to Rob Reiner's murder mirrors Charlie Kirk's is that the best way to eulogize each of them is to quote their words, and in both cases, doing so pisses off conservatives.
Rob Reiner: “Silence in the face of authoritarianism is complicity. Speaking out is a patriotic act. Democracy doesn’t defend itself. It requires participation, vigilance, and courage from ordinary people."

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
