One of the weirdest parts of this error--that I imagine is incomprehensible to younger generations--was the "smoking section" that was supposed to isolate smokers but was normally just... right next to the non-smoking section as if smoke doesn't waft.
this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will

I always wanted to donate my body to a med school so future surgeons could practice on me, but they don't take fat people so 🤷♀️
I have always been determined to donate my cadaver for research (because why just bury/burn my remains? What a waste. There are NEVER enough cadavers to train medical folk). But NOBODY is getting any of me for THIS. 😡
