I’ve been debating whether to share this, but … I figured out yesterday what song he was singing and then they played it so he could sing along with it. I honestly think it’s amazing how he’s following pitch and feel.

Fuck the three Democrats who were the difference on this passing and especially fuck the Democratic leaders who made no effort to whip them into line and who will do nothing to punish them after the fact. I will never support a party who cannot pass the most basic tests of human decency.
Had the three Dems who voted for this held the line and voted no, they could have blocked it.

This all day. Imagine walking up to any mother/father on the street and telling them that you could take their infant away and it wouldn’t have any long term effects on anyone.
Look at it this way: infant loses both parents in a car crash. Do people spend the rest of that child's life telling her to forget those parents and just be grateful a replacement set was found?

Counterpoint: the U.S. isn’t entitled to children from anywhere.
Blocking adoptions from these 39 countries is very racist, and also very Russian. Instead of seeing cross-border adoptions as a good way to help people, see it as an opportunity to hurt people for leverage.
On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.
