Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

The United States Senate gave millions of Americans the middle finger today and told them to go broke and die if they get sick. Why do they get to live in peace? How weird. All these guns and just keep taking it from them.

While I'm ranting about politics, here's another point.

Majority governments are a pitiful excuse for democracy.

If you truly care about democracy, about the will of the people, then you should be adamantly opposed to any political party having a majority government.

The White House continues to make our work harder. They’ve:

✂️ Cut funding for transportation and education
👎 Effectively told families in poverty “you’re on your own”
❌ Presided over the longest government shutdown in history
🚨 Failed to act after Western Maryland was hit by a devastating storm.

It is so wrong that these mass shootings continue to happen.

My heart is with the entire Brown community and all those affected, and this should do more than break our hearts. It should move us to action to enact real gun safety reforms.

Americans are calling on their leaders to take action on affordability – and housing is the biggest expense for families.

But House Republicans just rejected a bipartisan bill to lower housing costs that received unanimous support in the Senate.

Let’s talk about it.

Today I visited parts of Snohomish County impacted by recent flooding with Snohomish Reg. Fire & was briefed by FEMA to see how the atmospheric river has devastated communities across WA. Grateful for our first responders. I’ll keep pushing to get families the federal support they need to recover.

Another senseless and heartbreaking act of gun violence occurred today in Providence, RI.

As details continue to emerge, my heart is with the victims, their families, and the Brown University community.

It doesn’t have to be this way. We can and must end gun violence now.

May God watch over everyone who is in harm’s way and protect the law enforcement officials on the scene.

We must end the out-of-control gun violence epidemic in this country.

I met with parents of survivors from the Annunciation and Covenant school shootings in Minnesota and Tennessee.

Hearing their children’s stories is a reminder of what’s at stake. We must take action on common-sense gun safety reforms.
