In T1, there was more collective outrage about the lies. We talked about them, cataloged them. In T2, it seems like we’re just resigned to him being a lying liar and what can you do? But truth still matters. It’s worth being outraged about what his lies have done to our collective sense of reality.
Trump lies so easily. About everything. Even things that are embarrassingly easy to disprove. It’s pathological, so remember that.

My toxic trait is making unreasonable substitutions in recipes and then being surprised when it doesn’t turn out so well. Every time.
I think about this aspect a lot, when wondering how we’ll ever be able to undo what has been done:
“Stability of fed jobs was a key benefit—which has been shattered. Who will go back?”

RFK has cut about 20% of civil servants at DHHS affecting NIH’s ability to deliver grants, CDC’s ability to monitor disease and FDA’s ability to ensure we have safe food and drugs. There’s no easy fix w/ a new admin. Stability of fed jobs was a key benefit—which has been shattered. Who will go back?
RFK Jr has claimed he’s increasing the number of scientists and front-line workers, BUT... ProPublica found that more than 1,050 scientists, physicians and public health specialists have left or been pushed out of the CDC since January.
