THIS. I'm really sick of centrists proclaiming that "both sides" are awful, or equally extremist. It is not extreme to want human rights for every single person. It is basic human decency and compassion. The right is the problem, and the closer our politics get to it, the worse off we will be.
The use of the word “divided” is interesting to me because it connotes the idea that there are two different positions across from each other, even when the reality is that one side is terrorizing the other out of desire to assert violent domination and unjust supremacy
