During the Jim Crow era, most Americans were ignorant of the fascism going on in Southern states because mainstream media didn't cover it until the Civil Rights Movement really got going in the 1950s. Today, it's northern "blue states" under fascist attack with the rest of the country in the dark.
I can’t emphasize enough how shocked my out of state friends and family are when I tell them what has happened in Minneapolis since Renee Good’s murder.

Without reliable media, most not-chronically-online people are completely in the dark. If you want to help Minnesota, tell people what you know.

Sometimes they just tell us they are weaponizing the criminal justice system to push their political agenda.
Sen. Kevin Cramer: "Maybe the point should be if you're the attorney for Jay Powell and you want to avoid an indictment, how about you go to Jeanine Pirro and say, 'I'll make a deal. I'll step down today if you drop the investigation today.' To me, that would be a win win for everybody."

It remains hilarious that, for Donald Trump, the absolute highest form of praise he can give is "this person liked me"
Trump: "Sadly, the Great Influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a fantastic guy, who liked and respected me when it wasn’t fashionable to do so. He bravely fought a long battle against a terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family, and all of his many friends and listeners."

A few months ago, ICE hired me

I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable

And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!"

This is a jaw-dropping piece about ICE recruitment.
The article appears to be partly paywalled and I would encourage anyone who can afford it to subscribe, Slate's got a hell of a sale going right now and subscriptions are how they can afford to pay freelancers for articles like this one

Trump's White Nationalist Cosplay Crusaders Are Playing for ALL the Marbles

America’s refusal to face its past is forging a new authoritarianism. From the unpunished sins of the Civil War to the war on the Fed, the cost of “moving on” has never been higher.

2. The USValready has the right to put as many troops in Greenand as they want under NATO.

3. The only threat to invade Greenland is from the US.

Trump’s line is that disrespect to law enforcement is punishable by death. Impeach and remove. This is not tolerable.
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

Putting myself in his place, I have a question: If you’re in a dangerous situation, why are you holding a cell phone and circling around the vehicle recording a vehicle you’re worried about?

That seems incredibly stupid for a 15 year military veteran and guy who got run over 6 months ago.
WELKER: What do you see in that video?

HOMAN: I've said from March -- if the hateful rhetoric doesn't decline there's going to be bloodshed. And unfortunately I was right. You gotta put yourself in the mind of the officer.
