Vince Zampella was the absolute best to ever do it. Literally. His impact across publishers, studios, franchises and genres was unmatched. Commercially and creatively he was an absolute juggernaut. A tremendous loss for this industry, and to those who were close to him. Rest in peace.

Ok so when Microsoft was making the first Xbox I was doing Flash ads for them and they had an 800 page brand standards binder and when I used a green that was, and I quote, 6% off, I got my ass chewed out. Fucking losers now. Have some goddamn self respect.
The fucking head of fucking XBox Graphics used a fucking "AI" slop image to hire new engineers but couldn't tell that the fucking screen on the fucking monitor is facing backwards.

Perhaps the most poignant comment I’ve seen. Nobody wants f**** copilot. People are tired of Windows and Office. Most of the products Microsoft makes excite nobody. They even had record profits at Xbox but it wasn’t enough. Line must go up.
worth pointing out that game devs at xbox are some of the very few people at microsoft engaged in work that people actually want. no one wants copilot. no one wants to rely on windows anymore. no one wants teams and no one wants drone targeting AI. but i do want pentiment
