Wait'll this guy finds out that the first biography of Gassy Jack was written by one of the co-author's of "The Peter Principle" and @nardwuarserviette.bsky.social's mother.
Was just thrown completely out of my writing groove by research.
I needed to know when Vancouver was founded…
And I discovered that it was originally called Gastown. Because the guy that owned the biggest mill in the small settlement was called Gassy Jack.

Big news in Vancouver: Hastings Racecourse has announced it is permanently ending operations at the venerable racetrack, after the province pulled the revenue it gets from the slot machines on site.
A lot of moving parts to a very valuable piece of land in the city.

Canada has a stake calling out Pete Hegseth's murder on the seas.
In June 1918 the hospital ship Llandovery Castle was sunk. The U boat murdered survivors in the water including 14 Canadian nurses.
