I served as an intelligence analyst at the NSA in the Air Force. 4 months after I got out I was at the massive Iraq protest in DC of September 2005. I thought (and still do) that GWB was a war criminal. Trump is magnitudes worse.
I have a question for military people, do you want your children to grow up in Trumps America? Do you like the state of the country? Do you like Trumps miserable attitude? It will affect your children. Is he worth losing your life so he can steal more $$$? Follow the Constitution!!!

Fwiw, I didn’t get that case in law school and haven’t had reason to engage with it professionally. I didn’t know it by name but I have heard about the “fuck the draft” shirt case. Memorizing cases isn’t super helpful for practicing - it’s being able to find relevant cases when you need them.

An issue with “abolish ICE” is the work of ICE can still get dispersed elsewhere. But as a specific agency with a specific culture and recruitment history, it’s indefensible. Trump’s regime is doing brownshirt recruitment campaigns for it. You gotta nuke that.

The animating force at the heart of US conservatism currently is incandescent rage at the mere idea of women's autonomy and independence. An image of a smiling woman who looks insufficiently deferential for their tastes riles them up enough to tear up the social contract.
this is all it’s really about for them. Not domestic policy, not “economic anxiety”, just an endless desire to punish stand-ins for the Mommy who forced them take a bath, even if it tanks their own quality of life.
