The biggest take away from Trump’s latest hissy fit is that Bill C2/C12 were tabled under the guise of trade negotiations and there is no reason in the world now to pass them. This is just an authoritarian power grab from Carney, one we won’t recover from.

Canada Do Not Become like Amer1c@:

Bill C-2 & Bill C-12 would allow the Canadian government & law, for U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) to access Canadians' personal info, including data from social media, with low threshold of suspicion & potentially w/o a warrant in some cases.

Numerous civil liberties privacy organizations in Canada have drawn parallels between certain provisions in Bills C-2 and C-12 and the U.S. Patriot Act, arguing that they grant sweeping powers to the government and law enforcement while eroding civil liberties and due process.

Great news. The more uniformity in privacy law nationwide, the better.
The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario has signed a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada to strengthen collaboration on privacy issues.

Listen to the video. This is what people have to do to get through algorithmic censorship.

With Meta, X, Tik Tok - we know only what they let us know. And AI has made their "thought police" capable of even reading that.

Maybe we'll have to bring back pig Latin or cursive to outwit AI censorship.

Seriously? Privacy advocates have been sounding the alarm since forever. Society’s response? Apathy.

Canada is a police state. In 2025, our cops have body cameras equipped with facial recognition technology.

Did you people 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 Palantir? Because that’s how you get Palantir.

It’s too fucking late.

Back in 1946, the KKK was trying to make a major comeback after World War II.

Enter Superman — the Man of Steel exposed their secrets and took them down in his radio show.

I asked Rick Bowers, author of Superman vs the Ku Klux Klan, what we can learn from this today

So of course the Nazis hated Superman and tried to turn people against him (sound familiar?). The SS newspaper said Superman was like a "Colorado beetle" with an "underdeveloped mind" and called Siegel an "inventive Israelite" who's "intellectually and physically circumcised."

Superman is not only an immigrant (duh) but the latest in a long line of Jewish myths (part Moses, Samson, and Golem), created in response to rising fascism, and whose refugee origin debuted the same month the US turned away the St. Louis carrying nearly 1,000 Jewish refugees. 🧵
