Emmanuel, a 15-year-old with intellectual disabilities, wandered away from his mom’s fruit stand in October.

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

“They’re failing all of us,” his mom said.

TRAIN DREAMS: Emo Robert Eggers (complementary). A movie whose main character feels constantly behind in understanding History, his life and change. Unbelievably made and photographed. Not entirely successful, but amazing just the same. More soon for @citycastseattle.bsky.social.

Katie Wilson’s lead over Bruce Harrell continues to grow with her now leading 138,489 (50.19%) to 136,513 (49.48%). TLDR: She won. Thus, resharing the podcast episode I did for @citycastseattle.bsky.social once more with a ridiculous image that you'll have to listen to the whole thing to understand.

Janeane in THE MATCHMAKER a big crush for me.
I mean Janeane in TRUTH ABOUT CATS AND DOGS is kinda the gold standard for this
What’s your all time favorite Hollywood Homely fail? When a woman is meant to be unattractive but she’s gorgeous. Thinking of how Safety Not Guaranteed has a key moment where a man’s ex is in the script old and no longer attractive and she’s a knockout who the movie still plays as old.
