Just to say that teachers do an incredibly difficult job, with all the right intentions, and can be the defining influence on a young person's life. They are the exact opposite of poisoners because good teaching provides the antidote to so many dangers

Aaarrrhhh! @jonsopel1.bsky.social @newsagents.bsky.social pip is a benefit you get even if IN WORK!!! People on pip pay tax, they work, it’s a benefit to help pay the extra costs of disability. Minor issues don’t qualify you for anything. Even with major ones it’s seriously hard to get

I want to see non-disabled people shouting about the disability benefit cuts. If you spoke out about trans rights, abortion rights, or migrant rights in recent weeks? Good on you! If you aren’t doing the same for disabled people, ask yourself why.

I’m seeing even well-meaning accounts criticise disability cuts as hitting “the most vulnerable.” Reminder: disabled people are not inherently vulnerable. We are vulnerable when governments choose to withhold the resources disabled people need to live dignified and secure lives.
