Mark Carney's speech is now only the second most acute analysis of where the world is at right now:

Fell over at work onto stone stairs and bruised my ribs. (Didn't trip over anything, just fell)

Another time stood on my own toe and fell and grazed my knee
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

Bread and roses, lads. You don't work for permission to exist, you work so you can have a nice life.

And Terry Pratchett didn't give us the Boots Theory just so you could not know it.

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

This is devastating. May they rest in peace
My god, ABC is now reporting that police initially began a death investigation at the home of Rob Reiner, and it has now developed into a murder case.

Heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking.

"Do you know how long it takes a working man to save $5000? Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you're talking about-they do most of the working, paying, living & dying in this community. Well is it too much to have them work, pay, live & die in a couple of decent rooms & a bath?"

Ireland is so beautiful.

Just imagine how it would be if we actually protected and restored our nature, instead of killing it off everywhere, on land and at sea?

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Choosing between a minor UK town or seeing the effects of ice caps melting.

I guess you could say it's between Hull and high water.
Being a space tourist would not interest me even if I could afford it. If you have me a choice between a weekend in space or a weekend in Hull, I'd give Hull a go.
