Pretty interesting side note to Yemen story and AEA story. If I heard Goldberg right just now, Trump didn’t know about the leak 3 or 4 hours after happened. And he said he didn’t do the AEA proclamation (which WH tried to clear up unpersuasively.) is he just bloviator-in-chief while others run gov?

You know, I watched Sen. Schumer on Chris Hayes and really tried to hear him defend his actions in good faith, but by the end of their discussion, it just felt impossible for me to avoid this very deep sense of dangerous foreboding. Big "tempting fate" energy in the worse way. Honestly scary.

I should make it clear that the reason Schumer phrased it as “if democracy is at risk” is because he very explicitly does not believe we’re there yet. Hayes asked him and he said no. Just a total failure of leadership and understanding the stakes.
