One of the perhaps lesser-known DWP/Job Centre balancing acts: wear enough makeup to show you are taking this seriously by ‘making an effort’, but not so much that it makes us question how sick/disabled you are (yes, I got docked assessment points for this when I was but a fledgling benefits bitch)
