Open up this picture fully.

Then look at the surface of Mars.

Then look up to the top right.

Spot Mars' moon Phobos high in the sky.

Then notice the bright spot beside Phobos.

That's Earth.

This one's maybe a lil silly LOL, literally just wanted to draw a sabertooth tiger (not a very paleo accurate one) and thought "what if also, cute girl"

Hi authors! Please remember to file a claim!
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

Resist. Rejoice. Remember.

I dedicate this year's pride knight to my community. My trans family, friends and loved ones are beautiful, resilient and amazing and we will continue to thrive like the weeds society treats us as.

Happy Pride. Trans liberation at any cost.

All of my characters are queer but I’ll just stick to shouting out my girls Kas and Claudia from A BALLAD FOR SLAYERS & MONSTERS.

Kas is a butch, lesbian monster slayer with a sword and muscles.

Claudia is a bisexual, half-vampire hottie.

I'm Tyler, and aside from fanfic/fanzine work, I'm working on a gothic horror short story!

My ideal space is a cold room with a bunch of blankets, and hopefully a hot drink.
Let's start tonight's #LateNightWrite with introductions: tell us about yourself and your WIP(s).
Bonus Question: what is your ideal cosy space?

I got a cool little short and scary story in Transcendence: an Anthology of Change. It's got space and alien planets and grief and trauma! And several of your favourite authors!

Hey #LateNightWrite I’m Juniper. My main WIP right now is The Modern Mythos Continuum. There’s time travel & fantasy Las Vegas & a memory-stealing mystery & a lot more shenanigans & angst, courtesy of the trash crew of the first book.

I’m a queer focused author & artist. It’s the reality of my life & therefore my art, so it simply just makes sense. I wouldn’t know how to not do it. Also, I’m committed to creating characters & stories that reflect who & what people really are. Which is varied beyond measure innit. #LateNightWrite
First question: have you ever explored LGBTQ+ characters and themes in your writing? If you haven't, would you? If you do, what draws you to these?

It’s like all of them 😅 notably my main casts are always queer, beyond that it’s just a facet of realistic set dressing as well as side character creation. #LateNightWrite
Third question: do you have any LGBTQ+ characters in your works? Who are they?

Depends. My epic fantasy series is placed in a queernorm world. The Modern Mythos is more akin to our own, where people have varying opinions & outlooks on queer people. Still, from the MC’s perspective it’s the norm & bigots are outliers who make a delicious lunch 😌 #LateNightWrite
Second question: are your worlds queernormative or heteronormative? Are there expectations for what a 'normal' or 'typical' relationship looks like?

My worlds are generally queernormative; the queer MC's in-laws take issue with his socioeconomic class, not his being queer. (It's not specified if he only likes guys or not.) Depending on which god people follow, a "normal" relationship could be monogamous, poly, and married or not.

In Seff's story, Drohim is an elite warrior for a powerful church and is married to a guy. Rhugada is a non-binary wilderness guide and survivalist.
In Prophecy #71, Zedenko the cursed treasure hunter is pansexual. The two FMCs both imply they like guys, but no one swears off women.

Oh, at some point when I started to write A Saga of Mages, I realized I was bi and decided to implement that in Elliot's story as well. He's discovering this part of himself that is very much in conflict and he doesn't fully understand, kinda reflecting the major storyline as well.

Never really thought about it until now, but the world is very much almost the same as ours. I still have to learn lots of queer dynamics, but at a very first glance, most mages have no prejudice over gender identity and orientation, they have bigger fish to fry honestly.

Basically almost the entirety of the main characters lmao. Elliot's bi and cis, Abby is trans and pan, Lydia is a cis lesbian. Elliot's love interest (and rival >:]) is gay. Among many others lmao. Once I established Elliot as bi, everything else came along lmao.
