Do you know someone who voted for Donald Trump and insists they did so because the price of eggs (or anything else) was too high?

Send them to trumpseggfail.com for a convenient catalog of everything Trump's done instead of fixing the price of eggs.

Donald J. Trump promised to fix the price of groceries, instead he's implemented Project 2025.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) isn’t just a measure of inflation, it directly impacts Social Security checks, mortgage, federal aid, business contracts, and worker pay. It’s foundational to understanding how the economy is working for everyday Americans. But now? It’s becoming far less accurate.

Let's not be fooled by the headlines celebrating the "better than expected" payroll numbers. The trend is down.

I think it's unfortunate that “it’s easier to break things than to build them" has become a tagline of the second resistance. It may be technically true, to some degree, in some cases. But it's often overstated, demoralizing, and concedes too much to the vandals.
Don't Let Fatalism Break The Spirit Of Resistance
Building things doesn't have to be that much harder than breaking them.

Wow - I knew cutting Medicaid is unpopular. I didn't know it is *this* unpopular.
There is not a single congressional district in the U.S. where more than 15% of voters support cuts to Medicaid.

By threatening to invade sovereign nations, treating foreigners in our country like criminals and seeking to dominate the world economically through his daft tariff scheme, he is making the United States into a pariah nation.

Dear workers, Here are new holidays. You must work. Sincerely, Donald J. Trump

P.S. Screw you veterans, I'm taking your holiday away from you and renaming it.

Like how do people still think Trump is pro-worker and pro-veteran?! 🤯

Personally, I'm happy about this change, because absolutely no one voted for Trump to experience shared sacrifice. The one commonality among all Trump voters is that they believed he would make them rich while hurting people they dislike. They didn't expect to suffer themselves.
the rightwing influencers are trying hard to flip the narrative to “it’s your duty to sacrifice for your country” like during WWII. except WE ARE NOT AT FUCKING WAR you walnuts.
I cannot believe, and I will keep repeating, that I cannot for the life of me understand how the fuck the Trump admin thinks that "None of you get treats! You will buy EXPENSIVE things and LIKE IT." is a good idea when you literally ran on lowering prices on day one.

Tonight's cocktail: Limoncello, Western Son Lime vodka, & sparkling water. Less refreshing than hoped for, but boy did it get me buzzed (oops). I'll cut the vodka back to let the Limoncello be more pronounced, add a splash of simple syrup to offset the vodka further, and garnish with a lemon slice.

A Houthi missile getting through Israel's Iron Dome highlights how incredibly stupid and corrupt it would be for the US to spend billions and billions of dollars—with a lot of the money going to Elon Musk—in an attempt to make an equivalent "Golden Dome" over the much larger United States.

The framing from the WSJ on China's recent PMI data is pretty misleading. They call the 1.5 decline "sharp" and implying that the pressure is on China to negotiate with Trump. They fail to mention that the US PMI declined by 2.3 points yesterday.

If 1.5 is a sharp decline, what is a drop of 2.3 🤔
