The opposite of diversity is segregation.
The opposite of equity is hoarding resources.
The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.
We need to name that these are segregationists who are excluding to hoard resources.
One of the real problems is that too many people conveniently believe the opposite of diversity is merit, and the opposite of inclusion is high standards.

Yeah, that’s just not the case.

This is why you don't design curricula around "jobs of the future".

We can't predict the future but we do know what general skills and knowledge will be valuable whatever job you do.

(NBC News) - Mexico denied a U.S. military plane access to land Thursday, at least temporarily frustrating the Trump administration's plans to deport immigrants to the country, according to two U.S defense officials and a third person familiar with the situation.

Mexico refuses to accept a U.S. deportation flight
The Mexican government has criticized President Donald Trump's unilateral immigration actions, and the landing would have required Mexico's assistance.

You can ignore all rules, of course, but then you will wind up with a nonsensical outfit that looks confusing. People who say they don't care about "rules" still seem to follow them when communicating in written form. This is because shared language has rules; they help, not hinder, expression.

Should we continue to encourage kids to go to college ? Or push them to take up a trade ?

I believe in college. Learning how to learn, IMO, is a critical life skill. Being exposed to people of different backgrounds, makes yiu wiser

Qualifier- it should be a school you can afford.

I've read horror stories from educators who say almost all their students are using AI to write essays. It feels like a concerted effort to drive people towards fascism by taking away their ability to read, learn or think critically.

I'm so serious, if you stop using your creativity, imagination and thinking abilities you will lose them. Millions of people willingly giving up their intellects, the very thing that makes them human, is a nightmare straight out of our darkest science-fictions.
