Lineker & now Ince. Even for those not paying attention it should now be obvious that the sort of people who whine loudest about “cancel culture” are the ones doing the cancelling.

The far right’s commitment to “freedom of speech” is an authoritarian joke & the BBC has disgraced itself.

GB News grilled me apparently?

Only problem with this is I've never been on their nonsense channel.

They lie - obsessively.

Justin Webb, in a far more consequential position as presenter of a flagship news programme, has repeatedly violated impartiality rules. If he had a similar warning, it clearly had no effect and he’s been allowed to continue.

The fact is no presenter has ever had to leave the BBC for expressing conservative views, or even explicitly endorsing a right-wing party.

Was never a problem for Jeremy Clarkson. Was never a problem for Andrew Neil. Was never a problem for Alan Sugar

This is terrible. A freelance presenter can't voice opinions supporting trans folk, criticising Trump etc outwith his BBC role and yet the same BBC platforms racist and hateful Farage over and over again.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Just so we're clear, one incident of alleged anti-semitism by a musician = a major national scandal that should be roundly condemned.

Multiple incidents of alleged anti-semitism from the man leading the race to run the country = a load of nothing that should be completely ignored

All these people betraying him. You'd think it might provoke a moment's pause...
Graham Linehan has such little self-awareness he *really* doesn’t understand how totally unhinged he seems in his ‘woe is me’ batshit crazy ranting! 😬

He’s the ‘cautionary tale’ of what obsessive ‘gender critical’ transphobia leads to: no friends, no life, and spaghetti carbonara for one!

Former bookseller so I would say this wouldn’t I but it makes for a hugely more satisfying customer experience if you buy from a company that give a shit about the thing they’re selling.
Amazon is making money off AI copies of books - and putting the onus on authors to prove they’ve been plagiarised.

Honestly, just stop buying books from Amazon. Get them from an actual bookshop or order them from a reputable book supplier like bookshop.org

My dissertation was on women in Ancient Rome who wore the toga. Ask me anything. Really anything (about my subject, or I'll try more broadly in Classics).
