Not sure who needs to hear this, but any govt official who violates someone's constitutional rights -- and is acting outside the scope of their lawful authority -- can be PERSONALLY liable in a civil suit.

Sometimes I go to legislative hearings to speak not knowing if it will make a difference but certain I want, at the least, the record of history to show people did speak up and we did know better and they did it anyway, not because of ignorance or "the times" but because they chose evil on purpose.
