Another factor to consider with NBC choosing Ravens/Steelers: It could actually be Rodgers' last game. Like, if Baltimore wins, it might literally be the final game of his career. I guarantee that played a role in addition to the obviousness of that rivalry.
The NFL decided that, not NBC.

And NBC is home to many famous sitcoms and dramedies, and the dramedy of Aaron Rodgers losing a gift-wrapped division to a team that started 1-5 is must-see TV to me.
NBC coulda had two +12 win teams playing for the 1 seed for the last game of the season but decided they wanted Huntley vs. The Rodgler

Here’s an update about Bobby! Let’s rally around him and do what we can! You can remain anonymous. Repost for more exposure.
UPDATE: Bobby has a serious bladder and urinary tract infection which is being treated now. He's going to be out of commission for a while.

He has to make co-payments (unlike at UCLA) and hopes that his donors will chip in what they can -- the goal is to raise $1200 -- so $15, $27, $50 or more:

They've mentioned this game a few times today -- LeBron's first Christmas appearance, Cavs-Magic in 2003. On the call for ESPN were the late John Saunders and Bill Walton. (Doris Burke on the sidelines in one of her first NBA assignments for ESPN.)

Packers are 7th team to go back-to-back games without a punt (playoffs included). The other 6 combined to go 12-0 in those games without a punt. The Packers were 0-2

Bobby was taken late Friday afternoon to the ER at St. George Hospital for a dangerous infection. I've only heard from him via text so I have no details. His doctors at UCLA are concerned.

I will get more info soon and share here.

Please chip in $10, $27, $50, $100 or more for his home healthcare:

The orange felon says the Epstein Files are a “Democratic Hoax” and yet he still felt it necessary to doctor documents and hide evidence whilst redacting everything that would be damaging to him.

That’s called GUILTY AF.

a good reread.

"if we had massive private funding, we could achieve the same level of quality in public transit."

and it's so frustratingly depressing to not have local authority in this case of waymos. #California state PUC and DMV not doing their job to regulate & get data from waymo.

For a preview of what's to come from AVs, look to San Francisco.

As ex-SFMTA CEO @jeffreytumlin.bsky.social explained here, affluent people love Waymos. But they muck up transport networks by blocking streets and obstructing transit.

What’s good for individual riders may not be good for the city.
What Robotaxis Brought San Francisco
Outgoing transit agency head Jeffrey Tumlin reflects on how self-driving cars from Waymo, Cruise and Zoox affected the city’s other transportation modes.

how many people under 30 even know who Dick Clark was at this point?
Is there a future date when ABC will stop calling it "Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" or are we locked in perpetually on the most awkward possible name for a television broadcast?

this is something i am now finding out
NEW: A bill restoring money for pediatric cancer therapies was defeated in the Senate.

My colleague @samsteindc.bsky.social — who has covered this wrenching story ever since the funding was first removed at Elon Musk's behest last year — reports on why Bernie Sanders helped defeat the bill.
A Pediatric Cancer Bill Fell One Vote Short. Bernie Cast It.
The Vermont senator is holding out for a bigger health care package. Advocates are asking: Is the price worth it?
