The weird thing about Trump Nationalism is it doesn’t require any actual nationalism: Trumpers are symbolists. They want their flag, their baseball , their apple pie; they don’t actually require a belief in Democracy or that all men are created equal. They don’t want freedom of religion, nor voting.

I'm listening to the Supreme Court and those arguing before it debate the color and size of the cups in the shell game of campaign finance the most hilarious claim is that there is no quid pro quo bribery.

Still felt good, but when you look back on an interview and remember the obvious (like almost too obvious) thing you didn't say, and could have. I was trying to solve a problem, not recite all the artifacts of work known to man… ooof.

Elias, one of the immigrants in this case, was detained by ICE on his way to his dialysis treatment.

It was one of countless warrantless ICE arrests we've seen in DC.

While detained, Elias was denied the care he needed and his health worsened. He died last week — just days before this ruling.

Guided access on iOS is a great thing to enable before handing iPhone over to The Childe. I was far more familiar with MDM-driven ways to lock a device to an app (probably relying on same API). This prevents 'em marking as read notifications w/messages that might then get missed for hours—or days.

Rabbiatu is a nurse who worked during COVID, had been in the U.S. 30 years. A judge ordered that she could not be sent back to Sierra Leone for her safety, for fear of torture (!). So our evil regime sent her to Ghana (in shackles), and Ghana dragged her back to Sierra Leone.
🧵This 58-year-old nurse from Maryland is seen being violently dragged along the ground by officials in Ghana.

Trump deported her there.

This abhorrent & disgusting abuse of a woman who saved American lives and cared for injured and ill Americans for 30 years.

All the details below are worse.

Rabbiatu Kuyateh was detained this summer at her annual ICE check-in, her son said. She moved to the D.C. area 30 years ago as she fled civil war in Sierra Leone.

Remigration is ethnic cleansing, which is a crime against humanity and a form of genocide.

That is what the regime is signaling. That is what it is wants.
They're not even bothering to disguise their real aims any longer.

The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

The thing about building software that passes the Turing Test is that we fail it.
Things that aren't people shouldn't talk to people as if they're people, it's a simple rule. We're too stupid.
