We're spending the afternoon together. I'm writing at the table, and she's all tucked in and cozy.

My grandma's family does a yearly Christmas party the first weekend of December. I haven't been able to go in 20 years, but the pictures are online the next day without fail. This year was their last one. It feels like something stable and grounding is ending. The reason? ⬇️

PSA

Autism is a spectrum because it includes autistic people who have no visible signs of autism, autistic people who have every stereotypical visible sign of autism & autistic people who fall everywhere in between.

We all exist. We are all valid. And we are all deserving of support.

Accommodations aren't special treatment. Disability isn't a privilege. Diagnosis, however, is a privilege. So, we don't need to be hypervigilient or make examples of people who ask for more help without their proper paperwork. Working in nondisabled ways isn't superior to disabled working.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

Pay off debt, invest in my business, and travel. Maybe rent a cool little studio space to work in.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

This is where the smaller Santa hat ended up. I asked V if I could decorate their Titanic model this year. They hung the lights and I made the hat. My stocking ripped last year, so I got a new one and V was like, "You should use the old one for the hat." It was what pulled the whole look together.

Wanted to decorate a little, so I sewed up a couple hats real quick. My skull candle is now festively dapper.

V came home yesterday with a gift for me. They were very thoughtful about the stones they picked for me. It made me cry a little and I felt very loved and cared for. What a thoughtful person! I am privileged to know them. 💖🥰💖

After posting this, I felt a wave of embarrassment. Like I'm stupid for "being messy" in a public way. Like I'm "hurting my brand."

I don't want to suppress myself. That's how I end up giving care and not getting any back. That's how I end up burned out and depressed. So, I'm glad I said something
I'm feeling super stressed so I tried to spend a little extra time with my cats. Then I found a series of matts under Freyja's ear. Her hair is thick; it's a constant battle. So I burrito her and cut it out. She visibly relaxed when it was out, but she's still

These cases don't always end this well, so this is a relief.
BREAKING: Oklahoma has granted Tremane Wood clemency.

This is good news. Tremane will not face execution for a crime he didn't commit.

My possibly actual OCD says that if I send you a joke text, I will always follow it up with a parenthetical "context" text. I will then send a third follow-up text with the closing parentheses
