There are two fatal cases of H5N1 in cats in California. Both cats had been fed raw milk from the recalled lot in the ongoing outbreak associated with Raw Farms. The milk wasn’t tested. But an astute veterinarian tested the cats for flu based on clinical suspicion.

Treating people as only a way to get what you want cheaply allows corporations and capitalism to continue their stranglehold on life as a simple commodity. We are all more than the labor we can produce. We all have worth, whether we labor or not.
Worse, it reduces mass deportation to a problem for capitalism. Instead of neighbors, friends and family members we are talking about the price of cereal.
Some liberal/resist types go so far it’s blatantly racist w/stereotypes about needing immigrants to cut the grass and clean the toilets.

“reading fics is for jobless people” the best fic you’ll ever read is written by women in their 40s with incredibly successful corporate jobs that allow them to buy ungodly amounts of merch, i promise you
