Here's one - given the likely wave of pandemics caused by RFK Jnr and his henchfolk, when will the govt require vaccination proofs before entry to Australia. America is demanding visa-holders show social media history; our regulations should be smarter.
I have so many questions.

This whole fucking thread, man...
In 2019, the rate of fatal police shootings in the US was 3.1 per million residents. By contrast, the rate in France was 0.14 per million, and in Germany, it was lower.

In Germany, police officers discharged a total of 85 bullets at people in the entire year of 2011.
I’ve said it and I believe it is true

There is a willful forgetting and suppression of the memory of the hundreds of protests that shook this nation for the past decade and a half. So while Canadians and European laypeople whine “Americans don’t do anything,” the Americans are actively suppressed

This was the same ship that left the passenger behind on an island and she died. Now it has run aground. You would think if you are paying 10s of 1000s of dollars (some trips are $65K) they would have competent people in charge...

BP to scrap paid rest breaks and most bank holiday bonuses for forecourt staff.

Changes to employee benefits would cut take-home pay by at least 6.25%.

Would exec pay and dividends be cut? No chance.

Hard-won rights eroded as corporations rule without ever being elected.

Back to Victorian times.

Every year, Australian governments let gas companies export enough gas to supply Australians for 4 years

They export the easier to extract, low cost gas, leaving us with high cost gas

Gas exports drain our affordable reserves, and that gas is never coming back

'Horse has bolted' on cheap gas, even with reservation
Businesses and households want cheaper gas but it remains unclear how effective a plan to reserve more supply...

How Did DOGE Disrupt So Much While Saving So Little?

The question: was DOGE, at its core, an exercise in budget cutting or deception. Among DOGE’s largest claims, the bogus savings were both larger & much more common than the real ones. Similar errors/exaggerations recurred across the group’s work

Murdoch media should have been subject of foreign interference/influence/manipulation laws for decades.
Wouldn’t want to politicise this tragedy. That would be terribly crass.

Matt Yglesias consistently treats net zero as if it’s some arbitrary goal that activists want, not a goal that scientists say is necessary to preserve a livable planet for all. He so badly wants a solution that sounds "reasonable" that he's willing to ignore and dismiss scientific reality.

Don’t forget. Biden’s DoJ was investigating uncharged third parties in the Epstein files up until the last minute. Trump shut down the investigation, sent the files to DC, & fired the prosecutors. They went through them, redacted Trump’s name, then elected not to release them and closed the matter.
