Yes. “That’s against the law” is useless when my community is deemed “against the law.” the law was set up to keep the owning class in power and safe from social change. If the law asks we be against a migrant fleeing terror & for denying healthcare to a mother, the law has absolutely no value.
Hence the "(although not of course a necessary one)".

While I think it's good to focus on capitalism as one of society's greatest ills, it's important to remember that it is, at the end of the day, just another tool of the Big One. If capitalism is Sauron then its master, Melkor, is Hegemony, clearer in few ways then in the oppression of minorites.
The trans liberation struggle is tied through our common enemies in "White Replacement" narratives which stand out bold as anything on the covers of key propaganda texts against trans people - if you allow this transgender craze to take over who is going to carry the white babies of tomorrow?
