Look at Jersey City for a more realistic way to reduce car related fatalities. People won't go fast if the road won't let them, and good intersection design has big benefits beyond just slowing cars down.
My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

I think it's actually kind of critical to develop the ability to, and comfort with, just fucking saying when you don't know something, or don't know enough to have formed a strong opinion. Especially given our disinformation situation. Plus it invites people who DO know their shit to the convo
