A Black cosplayer named ash squidkid passed recently due to anti Black harassment.

They were constantly bullied and it became too much.

This is why the anime community sucks.

Its why its very hard to support any of it when creators and participants practice racism towards consumers that are Black

Target got rid of DEI and their Black suppliers like they were the plague, and now they're trying to woo us back. They acted as if they were dying to stop pretending they cared. The lesson here is do your due diligence. When you make a decision, be sure you can deal with the fallout.

I'm happy I joined up. This place is lacking the major issue I have with my Facebook feed. That being how it's filled to the brim with junk and it's impossible to keep on top of anything between FB randomly deciding not to update you on people and all the random recommendations and ads.

To my American trans friends and followers, a word of warning before passport offices open tomorrow from a friend currently dealing with this situation
Tell folks not to try to panic update their passports. We cannot change our gender right now, and in some places there is risk of your documents being confiscated. Your passports are technically government property according to 22 cfr 51.7, and they can be taken from you (and already have been for some people). This means that not only can they reject your application (and at this point they will), but they can also straight up keep your passport and other supporting documents. In Whitman county (conservative county south of where I live) some people went to get their passports updated and the employees there told them their application was rejected *and they took those people's passports*. It's all still rapidly updating and likely will for quite a time. Just tell folks not to panic hand their passport over - it's too messy right now.
