It feels like even this survey/article is kind of grasping at straws for ways to propose uses of genAI that people wouldn't hate, like "adjusting dynamic difficulty" (not something genAI does) or "tutorialization" (in practice, a catastrophically bad idea)
everyone dislikes genai in games, but kids and story-focused players the most.
sounds like we'll be ok. just have to stay the course here and the "inevitable" new technology nobody likes will die. again.

By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

Once again thinking about the time I was told that my opinion that abortion rights should be explicitly codified into law at every level of government because Roe was a weak ruling was "the same as Samuel Alito's" a few months before it was overturned.
A few months ago I encountered a person who said they voted for Trump because they knew the liberal Supreme Court would keep him in line. I asked him how the Supreme Court was liberal and he said "doesn't it have to be by law or something?"

This is very true. I’m a union steward, and when I guide people to accommodations I am careful to frame it as being for “any disability or other health issue of any duration”. Employees are a lot more open to that framing than when I described it as a disability of any duration.
Having to identify oneself as disabled to access accommodations is, on its own, a huge barrier to getting many disabled people the accommodations they need.
