This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

You just squandered all the momentum from last week.

Fucking incredible job.

Expel the yes votes from the party and cut off all their access to fundraising, then remove Schumer from leadership. Anything less is mealy-mouthed coward bullshit.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

If it goes up, don’t cross the picket line. Collective action is the only way we ever get things done.
BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting.

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
Starbucks unionized workers say they'll strike on Nov. 13 if coffee giant doesn't finalize contract
Union members say they are ready to strike on the chain's Red Cup Day if Starbucks doesn't finalize a contract with their union by then.

"For 5 straight weeks you have screened passengers, protected our leaders, patrolled borders, kept the nation's networks secure, and our homeland safe, knowing the money might be late but the mission never is."

800 detainees are missing after being held in Alligator Alcatraz in July, showing no record of their location in ICE’s database.

Other detainees have been mistakenly deported or sent to detention centers thousands of miles away.

The cruelty is the point.

The shape of politics in the US right now is increasingly that the media, political and economic elites are allied with the Trump regime against the actual people of the country who hate it

It's telling that after Melissa Hortman's murder, no one on the Left called for violent revenge, and no one anywhere worried that the Left would take her murder as a reason to resort to violence.

My main observation from the last few hours of monitoring US social media is that Democrats are universally denouncing political violence and calling for calm while MAGA are escalating language and openly lusting for retribution against broad categories of people they identity as their enemies.

Jeffrey Epstein had doctors prescribe birth control and sedatives to his victims. They also screened his victims for STDs.

He had dentists work on their teeth.

I’d like to know who these people are and why they have been protected.
