If Kohler can view the user’s toilet data, as it admits to doing in this email exchange with technologist Simon Fondrie-Teitler, then it’s not—by definition—using end-to-end encryption. @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

Framing GenAI as a battle between teachers and students is a red herring. Students and educators are on the same side. The real opposition are the data extraction firms and brokerages and their allies among the managerial class.

If you wouldn't ask Sam Altman, Peter Thiel, Larry Ellison, or Elon Musk for help personally with your life you shouldn't be using their AI tools or generation platforms. All tech is bias and you can see what bias a tech might have by looking at who created it and what values they hold personally.
Not to mention if you retain the desire to ask questions, organize, or revolt but filter those tasks through their AI, the answers are at their discretion. They control the tool. They control what you see, what answers you get, & how it engages with you.
I need people to understand why AI is being forced down our throats & so quickly:

1) They want us to have poor critical thinking skills & to be reliant on it b/c it makes us easier to control.

A smart populace will organize, ask questions, or revolt.

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

So many studios came to the UK to try to get around the strikes and found essentially an unregulated goldmine of actors who want work, will work for buttons, and might not know that working those games was damaging a strike effort overseas.

Glad to see this getting attention.
Devora Wilde – who played Lae'zel in Baldur's Gate 3 – is concerned that young actors might be lured to sign contracts without AI protections. "I do understand that as an actor who is maybe not working very much [...] the temptation is there."

Contracts for game actors are a nightmare in the UK
SAG-AFTRA's strike might have sorted things out in the US – but UK contract negotiations are still a mess of exploitation, AI clauses, and non-standard rates

The future of the Democratic Party must be rooted in investing in the American people — not Wall St., corporations, and consultants.

Otherwise, Trumpism will continue to use cynicism, racism, and distrust to divide America.
