It’s interesting that both Fantastic Four and Superman start in fully-formed worlds, but both nicely bring the viewer up to speed. Which is kind of the opposite of the multiverse idea of setting everything up for a crossover - which the non-Spider-Man Sony films are v guilty of.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The biggest thing hurting this film was that they basically gave away the entire plot in the trailers. I loved everything about it, but similar to Superman I felt like it moved by everything a bit too fast. I wanted more of it, and that's a good problem to have.

Saw Fantastic Four today and had a great time. Feels like a breath of fresh air to watch a comic book movie like this from Marvel that isn't steeped in 'Previously On...' It feels like a fresh start in more ways than one.
Gorgeous aesthetic, everyone was fun and had something meaningful to do.

I saw the new Fantastic Four movie and the new Superman over the last week. I always want any of these super hero movies, Marvel or DC, Indy, whatever director or cast, to be good. I thought both these movies were solid, and it's good to see super hero movies that aren't embarrassed by their origins
