The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I just realized that I enjoy writing reviews of games as written far more than I do games as played because at a very primal level, no matter how much theory it’s wrapped in, I simply do not consider the human element of RPG play to be portable or fungible.

Who thought taking half a season 2 story and bolting it on to the end of season 1 of Countdown was a good idea? Such a forced cliffhanger. In the age of 2+ years between seasons of streaming shows you can’t do that shit. It’s not coming back in 4 months like a normal TV show.

Folks who live in nations with national health care: Do not believe people trying to convince you to make your system more like we have in the US. It's a nightmare and you don't want it.
Every once in a while I tell people from other countries about how the health insurance system works in the US and they are aghast. Yesterday a guy straight up didn’t believe me when I said people can die because of not being able to afford medicine. He was sure I meant in the distant past.

I hate this so much. I hate every time I'm looking for information about a video game I have to find the answer in a video instead of just text searching a web article for the answer.
Pivot to video was such a curse. Now everything’s like obviously you’d rather watch a 40 minute video than read a sentence.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.
