If I wanted to destroy a company from within, I’d start by disenfranchising their largest customer base, and then I’d do this.
It’s funny too because this kind of forced emotional labor is heavier on Black/brown workers *and* one of the signals to Black/brown shoppers that we’re unwelcome! (As a Black person who has worked retail and been followed in stores—too frequently—in case I “need any help”)
