Mohsen Mahdawi of White River Junction, Vermont was illegally detained by ICE during what was supposed to be the final step in his citizenship process.

If you've never been part of a government procurement process, it might be hard to understand just how much of a "go to prison" thing this would have been at any point from 1946-2024.
