People will die, and are currently dying, because RFK was granted one of the most powerful megaphones in the country. Two people who could have thrown barriers in front of his climb decided not to; there's a sex scandal here but it is not the biggest scandal.

Jewish New Yorkers do not need protection from Zohran Mamdani. They increasingly do need protection from the friends and fellow travelers of Jonathan Greenblatt

TODAY is the deadline to submit public comment on Trump’s proposal to rescind the Roadless Rule, which would expose 45 million acres of national forest to permanent roads and their attendant environmental ills. Register your disapproval here:

We all know RFK jr isn’t going to step down & Trump won’t fire him so Senators need to stop the budget deal till he’s removed.
Warnock to RFK jr: "For the first time, we are seeing deaths of children from measles. We haven't seen that in two decades. We're seeing that under your watch. You are a hazard to the health of the American people."

I just feel like the time to tell the public you saw the incumbent mayor’s people handing out cash bribes in July of an election year would be in July of that election year
Compare and contrast this leisurely approach with them tripping over their dicks to rush out the urgent story of Mamdani's college application or cranking out story after story after story about every rumor or perceived development Rufo fed them on how Claudine Gay cited sources in her dissertation
Given the presentation and the bylines, it does look like they were planning to tell the public about the bribes eventually, as a colorful detail in a 10,000 word investigative thumbsucker about Chinese influence in New York politics, but that just demonstrates how broken their news judgment is

Actually “the Jews” (outside of Israel) are diverse on their point of view about Israel’s actions but even if we were not, we are simply the excuse and the vehicle

These Christian Zionists and political Zionists are not enabling Israel out of deep concern for “the Jews” — we are simply their cover

this was always annoying, but now that there are no republicans left who even pretend to do it back, it is a level of Charlie Brown / Lucy / football clownery that no one can take anymore
Something the Mamdani win demonstrates is the extent to which the reigning cadre of ancient, establishment, centrist Dems think it’s more important to be on good terms with their GOP colleagues than it is to represent their own voters, and how thoroughly sick of this literally everyone is.

Feels like ranked choice was absolutely decisive in this race—not because of the vote count, but because of how it changed the incentives from zero-sum to cooperapetitive. It allowed a fractured left field to align organically through co-endorsements instead of falling into a circular firing squad.
From a key Mamdani adviser ❤️

I don't 'refuse to use' AI, I just don't use AI; in the same way that I don't shoplift, or plagiarise other people's books - it requires no effort of will, it's just not something I would think of doing
Bizarrely framed article about the people (all women) who ‘refuse to use AI’. And a #philosophy professor who says “The moment to opt out of #AI has already passed”. Oh well. That’s that then. 🤷‍♂️ #AIEthics www.bbc.com/news/article...
The people refusing to use AI

The conservative movement has turned against reality on every scientific issue of our time, from gun violence to climate change to epidemiology.

If campuses are ideologically homogenous, it's not because academia has ostracized conservatives. It's because conservatives have ostracized academia.
