Y'know... I wonder if we'd be seeing so many instructors jumping to use AI in the classroom if we actually trained people how to teach. At all.

I was reading the comments on a local news article about Medicaid cuts and a Missouri woman called having access to healthcare a “lifestyle” that isn’t meant for folks who can’t afford it.

I have never read anything more sad, or American, in my life…

A timely quote from Dr. Carla Hayden: “Libraries are a cornerstone of democracy—where information is free and equally available to everyone. People tend to take that for granted, and they don’t realize what is at stake when that is put at risk.”

Something surprising is happening:

After a steep drop-off during the pandemic, youth drug use is *continuing* its remarkable decline—defying the predictions of many experts.

We spoke with researcher Richard Miech to get his take on the phenomenon.

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

It's poetry that racist Strom Thurman's filibuster record to stop the Civil Rights Act was broken by a black man in the Senate. Condolences in Hell, Strom.

It's true! Adults are also baffled when we tell them that and it always worries me
My Ss are often shocked when I tell them AI will never tell you it doesn’t know- it’ll just lie to you.
