I don't trust the folks saying these changes aren't going to be used to harm vulnerable populations. Law enforcement in Vancouver is already so biased it can't be true that increasing their power won't hurt the people they hate.
Normally I'm averse to unexpected knocks on my door but @dontfuck.men and their boyfriend showed up to drop off homemade chocolate chip cookies and I feel like if I got delicious baked goods every time I could Pavlov myself into getting over that.

The real problem with pretendians is the way discussions around them are driven by mainstream colonial narratives about Indigeneity. Non-indigenous folks believe themselves experts on Indigenous identity and end up muddying the waters even more.

Brain damage is bizarre. I was making a call to sort out a medical coverage glitch and despite the rep speaking perfectly clearly they made the mistake of asking me an unexpected question and I had to tell them I did not understand what they were asking.
