In 2019, I moved to Minneapolis for law school. My wife and I felt lucky to buy a house in a beautiful, vibrant part of the city. This is now the second murder by law enforcement in my neighborhood. to become national news.

Two things are true:
- Enough is enough
- I am so proud of my neighbors

So long, finally cleared curb cuts.

These corners were piled with over a foot of snow from street plowing for more than a week and finally got well cleared… just in time for another 7-10” of snow. 😔

I wish we prioritized & funded pedestrian infrastructure more.

I really love my neighborhood in all the seasons, but watching winter bikers on Bryant has long been one of my favorite things about where I live.

I don't think I'll ever do it (unless I get a cargo fat-tire trike in my old age) but I love to see it.

Seconded.

All those in favor?...
Motion for all the neighborhood orgs to get a little sidewalk plow and pay people $25/hour to drive around clearing all the sidewalks
I keep thinking our neighborhood association (PPNA) should just get one.

hey white locals, taqueria la hacienda was COMPLETELY FUCKING EMPTY at 5:30 on a friday night when it's usually PACKED. I bet Habañero is empty too :( Go get some tacos. They're both pickup only right now to protect drivers from ice.

We need to reverse instacart. White people deliver to Latino families (for free).
My favorite instacarter (not part of that crew), a super nice guy, always hustling. Last time I saw him, about four days ago, told me they’d taken their son out of school; his wife and the son almost never leave the house. He goes out to instacart and they worry. But, yeah, haven’t seen him since.

When I submitted a ticket to 311 for this sidewalk it was closed a few hours later as a duplicate request.

If I’m in a wheelchair or out with a stroller I’d rather know when it’s cleared so I can get back to my routine. Surely we can setup batch responses to tickets related to accessibility?
