Yeah I don't know how to fully express that I feel like my soul is basically damaged by the way I feel about the regime & its agents at this point.

I don't know that I've ever really felt this level of visceral moral CONTEMPT for other humans. It veers into cold hate at times in ways I worry about.
y'know, i never hated a person until i was in my late 40's. ask anyone who knows me, i'm a squish. it still doesn't come naturally to me, but holy hell i *hate* every single person involved in making this DHS/ICE reign of terror possible.
It's a campaign of terror.

Her terror (and the terror of entire communities, forced into hiding) is not incidental.

It is a product they are manufacturing, a key part of the spectacle for their intended audience.

Which is the terrorized, but also the terror consumers.

Have friends in both fields. Can confirm.
(having friends who are teachers is about on par with having friends who are EMTs in terms of being told stories that make your eyes bug out on the regular)

Fellow Pennsylvanians: Please go vote today. If you vote for nothing and no one else, at least make sure you vote YES on retaining the three PA Supreme Court judges. They may be the only thing standing between democracy and PA GOP gerrymandering & election interference.

Got that? Vote YES.

TODAY.

Remember when Aaron Swartz downloaded JSTOR archives that he had full legal rights to download and the FBI hounded him literally to death for it? Anyway,
NEW: Common Crawl, the massive archiver of the web, has gotten cozy with AI companies and is providing paywalled articles for training data. They’re also lying to publishers who have asked for material to be removed. “The robots are people too,” CC’s exec director told us when we asked about this.
The Nonprofit Feeding the Entire Internet to AI Companies
Common Crawl claims to provide a public benefit, but it lies to publishers about its activities.

See? This is a good political response to what happened (if you must). Acknowledge, but make sure you get in something about how the right is constantly fomenting violence.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on the shooting of Charlie Kirk:

"Political violence, unfortunately, has ramped up in this country ... I think there are people who are fomenting it in this country. I think the president's rhetoric often foments it."
