A fun part of winter is when you walk up to your desk, touch it, and get a static shock so bad your monitor goes blank for a moment.

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.

Damn straight. My family up in Chisholm didn’t vote for that. Nor did those of us who live in the metro.
No, @amyklobuchar.com we don’t want you to work with them. Quite literally *nobody* I know who voted for you — from Hibbing on down to Saint Paul — wants you to work with them. Everyone not in DC knows that ship has long since sailed.

We want you to stop them.

It’s really not that complicated.

Behold my shame. This'll teach me not to use the good yarn while inebriated. #knitting #yarn #crafting #slowfashion #fiberarts

Losing a fight against some of the prettiest yarn I've ever seen. Might have a little midnight snack idk (something edible, not the pretty yarn 😂)

What would you propose we do to break up this monopoly as indie book sellers, buyers and readers? What's the alternative?
Bookshop is great. Love it, love the sale. Lesser known info: Bookshop gets its books from Ingram. Ingram is where most indie booksellers order their books. Ingram handles distribution for most smaller presses. It’s a monopolistic company (that donates a ton to the GOP)

Menswear has been undergoing a renaissance on red carpets and runways. Next year, a landmark exhibition on Black suiting and sartorial codes will serve as the inspiration for fashion’s biggest night out.

Fun (not haha) fact I just learned about myself at age 28: I have the same disability as Gus Walz; #NVLD.

Why do I have to watch an ad even when I beat a level in a mobile game? C'mon, I earned a little freedom from bombardment with advertisements, as a treat.

An #NEA report, "How the U.S. Funds the Arts" (2012), states that arts nonprofit volunteers are primarily women. A Grantmakers for the Arts article, "Leverage Lost," (Kreidler, 1996) states repeatedly that the nonprofit arts sector runs on discounted labor. 1/2

saw a professional political commentator say that it wasn’t a given that harris would be intelligible and at this point the insistence that she’s dumb and unable to speak is just racism
