This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

I was interviewed for this great article about audiobook narration! There’s so much that goes into it that people don’t even realize, and there’s so much work that we, as narrators, have to do on our own.

Donald Trump is way less popular than he wants you to believe.

And you are significantly more powerful than he wants you to think.

White House press corps members are like trade magazine reporters: happy to be there and to convey the positive message their handlers want told while being careful not to write or ask anything confrontational that might upset the trade’s leaders, backers, and advertisers.
