I can't say I'd blame Gatwa for stepping away from the show, the man has a career to focus on and all of this uncertainty coming from Disney's end would frustrate anyone. At the end of the day Doctor Who is a job and if you don't know when you're next working that's a problem.

An overlooked aspect of classic TTRPGs are the "Fuck you" rules. Rules that only exist as petty punishments for the GM to use when players displease them, and were obviously created out of "Oh, that's 'Not in the rules?' Well now it is!"

Rewatched The Batman earlier and while I still enjoyed it a lot I do think it's a weird omission that seemingly everyone in Gotham is horribly corrupt and easily blackmailed, except the media who will happily report on and expose all of this on the news seemingly without bias

I think a bit of the "AI is democratizing art" argument is trying to avoid the ugly truth that to get good at anything you have to do a lot of it. I grew up "knowing" I was a good writer, but I really wasn't until about 700k words, and it took reading hours of scripts to really have a voice
