Distressed to report that the homophobic Christians at the Christmas Market have, this year, decided to form a choir and sing carols. I am less distressed to report that they are absolute dogshit. I have never heard such a moribund, scattershot out of key and low tempo hosanna in excelsis.

The 'idea machine' has stalled, very obviously, because CEOs, not engineers and artists, are in charge of product design and development now. What a stupid premise for an article.

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Americans are simply incapable of conceiving of the things the rest of us take for granted. American billionaires cannot conceive of them and are *also* very scared of them.
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

The thing is, if I was a labour party member right now, the most important factor for me in choosing the new leader would be 'they have to have absolutely nothing to do with Labour Together.'

Hey Wes, I can save you the trouble. The reason a lot of people are struggling with their mental health in the UK is it fucking sucks here. Aside from usual late-stage capitalism stuff, everything that could be cool about living here has been systematically made worse by people like you, you cunt.

Not a bad point but the optics of delivering it in fucking white tie are... I mean wtf is wrong with these people.
👏 Keir Starmer PM: "How Brexit was sold and delivered was wrong. Wild promises were made to the British people and not fulfilled."

"The idea that leaving the EU was the answer to all our cares and concerns has clearly been proved wrong."

Because, much like they're convinced that there's a secret cabal or 'cathedral' responsible for propagating the woke mind virus in government or otherwise, they also believe there's something similar for the humanities in general, which is why everyone hates them, so destroying it is job number one
Between diffusion models and LLMs, tech has inflated a trillion dollar bubble around automating activities that have immense social and cultural capital—writing, art, photography—but little actual capital. It’s harmful to education, culture, and society with minimal overall benefit

The thing about the OBR leaking the entire budget early is that it's one of the few times where understanding anything about economics is actually beneficial. If you don't you'll just shrug, if you do then you've just witnessed one of the funniest things ever.

See, I sort of agree with this but I think he *did* have a plan. His plan was 'do whatever the opposite is of what the left wants.'
It was an extremely stupid plan. More of a vibe than a plan, really.
I’ll admit: I thought the lack of a plan would be a problem for Starmer, but that it would resolve as “governing like the SNP but with a worse record on job creation”, because Starmer would be run by the civil service and just do producer interest government. Not…what we have now.

We need to do some sort of study into precisely how and why labour MP's think telling obvious and outright lies about the Greens will win back support. They truly believe it's helpful to their cause and not just weird and off putting and kind of gross.
The leader of the greens thinks he can persuade Putin to give up weapons. The leader of reform thinks he can cut public spending without cutting services. Labour risks falling into same trap in its immigration and asylum policies. To actually change the world we need less bravado and more scrutiny.

Cannot adequately express to outsiders how insane it is to think the UK is characterised by "Islamoleftism". Just, absolutely, not a thing, not at all representative of our governing ideology, nor of the ideology of the left factions that exist as any serious presence within our politics.

Antifascism is good and fun, and looking the enemy in the eye is a worthwhile endeavour, but I really would like it to be unnecessary. I'm sick and tired of fascists marauding around my city, occasionally taking up my weekends, and threatening people in my community.

<Taking a long drag on a cigarette and sitting backwards on a chair>
The problem with Starmer is that he is first and above all a lawyer, and lawyers are awful. He views the country as a collection of laws and nothing else, which makes him a terrible leader and an even worse Labour leader.
