You cannot make me hate Bad Bunny. The fact that he added so much money to the economy of Puerto Rico is amazing and it was his intention to do so. He set up his residency in corporation with the PR tourism board and local business. I *cannot wait* to see his halftime show! #Grammys

Carlos Beltrán is the sixth Puerto Rico-born player to be elected to the Hall of Fame. Here's @jayjaffe.bsky.social on Beltrán’s career and legacy:
JAWS and the 2026 Hall of Fame Ballot: Carlos Beltrán
While his legacy is clouded by his role in the Astros’ sign-stealing saga, he not only has Hall of Fame numbers but is the most likely honoree on his ballot.

Bobby Abreu had a 10-year stretch (1998-2007) where he slashed .302/.411/.505 with 218 home runs, 289 steals, a 137 wRC+, and 52.3 WAR. During that time, he somehow made just two All-Star teams and never finished higher than 14th in MVP voting.

#HBD Fergie Jenkins, 83 today. Phillies P 1965-66. The trade that sent him to the Cubs was one of the worst in franchise history. I'd argue perhaps even worse than that other one they made with the Cubs 16 years later. Imagine Carlton and Jenkins at the top of the rotation together in the 70s,...

Roberto Alomar, Carmelo Martínez, Edgar Martínez, Rey Sánchez, Rubén Sierra, Carlos Baerga, Bernie Williams, Juan González, and Carlos Delgado. All in the same 1995 winter ball lineup. Good lord.

The team hit .346/.426/.533 and dominated the 1995 Caribbean Series.

new @fangraphs.com: Carlos Delgado went one-and-done on the 2015 ballot. Despite his 473 homers, he doesn't stack up well in WAR/JAWS, but his willingness to speak out against injustice makes him one of the most interesting HOF candidates I've covered.
